Ada Lluch has accused non-governmental organizations, including the Red Cross, of enabling thousands of migrants to remain in Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in North Africa, following a recent border surge.
Speaking with Ezra Levant on Friday’s episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Lluch reported that her recent visit to Ceuta revealed migrants occupying streets, neighborhoods, and a local beach where they spend the night.
She also criticized the lack of police presence in areas where migrants are concentrated. According to Lluch, officers are frustrated by the situation but follow instructions from senior officials.
Lluch stated that the Red Cross provides migrants with essential food, arguing that without such daily assistance, many would return to Morocco. She further noted that the open border crossing now allows migrants to leave Ceuta.
During the discussion on Europe’s Schengen Area and border controls, Lluch mentioned her recent travel from Spain to Italy revealed no new border measures in response to the migrant situation.
She added that Spanish media coverage of Ceuta varies significantly across outlets, with some portraying migrants sympathetically while others present a different narrative.
