On last night’s episode of The Ezra Levant Show, ClimateDepot founder Marc Morano detailed how the Trump administration is taking decisive action against far-left environmentalists and climate alarmists while advancing pro-energy legislation.
Morano described a series of significant victories for American energy producers and the undermining of global climate bureaucracies. “We are crushing, and I mean absolutely crushing beyond my wildest fantasies,” he stated. “And not just my wildest fantasies, but we have two dozen skeptical groups that have a loose network, we meet once a week online.”
He added that the administration has already taken two major steps for permanence: first, announcing its intention to withdraw from the 1992 U.S. treaty adopted under the RIO Earth Summit framework on climate change, which will become official in February 2027; and second, targeting the endangerment finding within environmental regulations.
Morano explained that by successfully challenging this finding, unelected bureaucrats deep within federal environmental agencies would no longer be able to regulate carbon dioxide as a pollutant under the Clean Air Act—a law passed decades ago that did not mention carbon dioxide.
The analysis also noted concerns about Canada’s position, where Prime Minister Mark Carney is reportedly balancing advocacy for Canada as an “energy superpower” with quiet concessions to climate activists. Critics argue this duality risks burdening Canadian workers and industry under net-zero targets while the U.S. moves toward rejecting similar obligations.
Morano emphasized that Trump’s aggressive approach to rolling back climate mandates has already driven U.S. energy production to record levels, leaving Canada at a disadvantage by clinging to policies America is now dismantling.
