UK’s Hidden Afghan Resettlement Scheme Under Fire as Critics Condemn Secrecy and Security Risks

The British government faces mounting criticism after it was revealed that thousands of Afghans have been secretly relocated to the U.K. through a covert operation shielded from public scrutiny by a ‘superinjunction.’

Independent journalist Callum Darragh, speaking on The Ezra Levant Show, condemned the U.K. government for its clandestine approach, highlighting that the resettlement plan has operated in secrecy for two years under the guise of national security. The Defence Ministry justified the ‘superinjunction’ by claiming exposure of Afghans’ identities could provoke retaliation from the Taliban.

Darragh accused the government of colluding with political elites to undermine public trust, stating, “The British government is deeply illegitimate… they’re destroying the native population for their own interests.” He criticized the decision to bring in thousands of military-aged Afghan men, warning of cultural and societal risks.

Ezra Levant echoed these concerns, arguing that Western nations risk importing crime and instability by accepting large numbers of Afghans. He cited higher crime rates among Afghan migrants in Germany, the U.K., and Sweden, claiming they are “10 to 40 times” more likely to commit offenses than local populations.

The lifting of the ‘superinjunction’ revealed up to 20,000 Afghans may have been resettled, with critics decrying the exorbitant costs to taxpayers. The controversy has intensified calls for transparency and accountability from the government, which remains defiant in its handling of the crisis.
